Wheat seeds from short grass are still not standardized

GracefulBeautyOP20 hours agoMy opponent got wheat seeds on their 6th and 7th short grass broken and quickly won Breed Chickens in a forest spawn with not much short grass around, meanwhile I broke 13 short grass and got 0 wheat seeds.

Had a play around. The logic from the code makes sense, but indicates that for that seed its actually meant to be the 24th grass broken that drops a seed. (and if you make a private lobby with that seed, and have commands run on game start to /tick freeze, its also the 24th). I think the issue is probably that random water somewhere (not that i could find any when i flew around the seed) could break grass, and that adds to the counter, and could behave differently for each player.
Theres also a separate issue that wasnt the case here, but lets say it was the 24th grass, and on your 23rd grass, you broke a tall grass, the second block from the tall grass gets broken as the "24th", but wont drop anything, and you lose that roll.

then it's likely my opponent was playing on higher sim dist than me (i was on 5 sd) and the natural short grass breaks put them much closer to the 24th grass

If it is sim dist surely there’s a way to detect player broken grass and standardise those just for Breed Chicken’s sake

The issue i see with this, is that if you spawn near flowing water, you still have the issue of those grass broken not being standardised between the players. I feel its not uncommon for me in games to have run up a hill past flowing water to get to chickens and pick up already dropped seeds on the way.
Would also mean that if you had a bucket of water to break a large area of grass quicker it wouldnt be affected, but the standardisation of seeds once your past the first minute of a match probably doesnt matter at all

Yeah I mean flowing water would be bad but at least graceful’s exact situation wouldn’t happen again
