I've been playing around with Sniper Duel recently, and I've cooked up this one. It's very similar to other setups, but it uses the skeleton's arrow to press the pressure plate rather than your own.

Does it pop when skeletons arrow despawns? Is that a consistent timing?

Yes, it pops when the skeleton's arrow despawns, which always takes 1 minute
