(if u slide the slider it will reset your rd, ed%, sim dist, and maybe something else? idk just really annoying how frequently it can be misclicked on render dist adjusts)
or honestly this could be a request at better ui for settings in general (not being able to see the numbers for rd while pie is open being another issue) but again this is all just for qol

no the issue is that if you misclick on it and end up sliding it instead of rd then ALL your settings r cooked

yeah i despise this slider because it fries my settings and my trash pc explodes because it cant handle what it turns it all too

obv not approved by Draftout yet. its rlly simple, locks the graphics preset so it cant be accidentally dragged, but holding Shift lets you intentionally change it. also adds a clear RD/SD/ED readout while profiler pie is open.
no idea how to go abt getting it approved, so if anyone wants to do that go ahead
if anyone wants more features or finds bugs lmk. enjoy!

it might also be easier for marin to just directly code it into the draftout mod if possible rather than there being another standalone mod that people have to download

You beat me to it. Was making one that just had the preset locking, and didnt have the shift to change it (cos i dont actually ever see a situation its useful)
The fact that the rd, sd, and ed show whenever f3 is open, i feel like is too much in terms of an advantage over the vanilla game. I think it would be better to just have a toggle to make f3 appear behind the ui.
I personally play on a gui 2, which means this isnt an issue for me. With 26.3 right around the corner, and it giving its own gui scale for f3, id be interested to know if people still play with a high enough f3 gui scale for this to be an issue for them.

I might still make my version because of this, but I agree with driftsythe that this could probably just be a toggle in the draftout mod, that marin could add in, and so should really be in #suggestions . Yeah fair, at that point the standalone mod is basically redundant anyway if Marin can just add the preset lock + Shift override directly into the Draftout mod.
