It's still abusable to check a structure, find nothing and use it as a quick way to get back to spawn, so it should also hold you in birds eye view for 10+ seconds after resetting so that dying or running back is faster
I think if implemented like this its only useful for accidentally blowing up temple situations so thats good

also like 90% of the time if there’s a temple then there’s some temple goal that gets done in under a minute so it’s not even that useful a lot of the time

ive never done it but i think its an issue that you can end up in a 10x worse position than when you started because you just cant reset

happened to me once that temple dropped me and my opponent right down to -20/-10 into water

you're in a 10x worse position because you put yourself there, not because you can't reset

I really don't hate the idea. I agree making a mistake should have consequences but wouldn't having to reset be a pretty bad consequence. Surely if you do a desert temple right you don't think you should be rewarded that much more than someone who does it wrong

I'm not unbiased, I tried optimal low tnt in a game for the first time and ff'd a minute in. But I feel like we should consider some people are just worse at the game (me included) and refusing to consider a feature because skill issue instead of real issues like competitive integrity might just be lost opportunities to make the game better for everyone

Maybe it's not priority, it's probably not that deep, but I think it'd be interesting to talk about ways in which this feature would actually hurt the game

One might also get unlucky. I had a game where I fell into a ravine because I was breaking dead bushes for stone tools later

if your talking about seed reset, an easy way to abuse it is to use the early iron say to get one goal, than reset to get another

imo if you fucked up its on you bad or good thats on you
if you get a chance to get back at this temple mistakes you have a chance to win the game, you might be little behind but still have chance
especially temple are not even considered near hard
all you do is mine the block under pressure plate
get 9 tnt, place 1 to go up, place 1 in the 1 of 4 corners activate it, break the first tnt and that's it

I understand if its something super hard
like "kill the warden"
in low elo to be removed or something like that
