I want to play draftout with my pack on, please let it happen, idk if this is a thing already but I think this will upgrade the experience for the players

i wouldn't hold out any hope for this happening tbh. there's basically no easy way to enforce resource pack usage, and allowing them opens a whole can of worms

You can play on the pre-installed programmer's art pack, but the others are... complicated to moderate ;P

if it's cosmetic, it's not necessary for playing. if it adds utility, it's unfair for players who don't use it

that was most definitely a bug, external resource packs have always been against the rules, if you used them you were breaking the rules :p

I would accept it but I like to use full bright in caves because im blind almost and it just helps me see

It is legal to set gamma to up to 5.0.
On latest Minecraft versions, you have to use the Planifolia mod. With it you can adjust the brightness level up to 500% in-game via Options > Video Settings in the title screen, not in the world.

if it's possible to implement maybe have it as a feature in lobbies where you can toggle a setting to not force unload packs but idk how viable that is and whether it could be abused to get resource packs into comp

Problem is lobby is still fairly competitive with like blackout records etc, I don’t personally think there’s any need to open the can of worms

yea that's why I meant like to make it be a togglable setting similar to how like custom boards and commands aren't the same as normal blackout

i mean its the same idea with allowing commands in lobbies so idt so unless the api cannot detect custom resource pack

lobby wouldn't be so bad, maybe if there was an indicator for any illegal things like commands or textures it'd work nice
I love giving my friends who are newer some advantages since I want them to enjoy the game and learn on an even footing as me so texture packs could open up quite a bit more on that front

I also was momentarily thinking abt whitelisting textures but like the thing is someone could argue even a single extra pixel of a coal block or anything else could easily count as an unfair advantage so I don't think it has any place in comp sadly
