Not needing to switch between players analysing early game would be nice, useful for micro pathing. As of now you can't turn on commands in replay so you can't run locate to check your nether pathing (not that it's not useful in the ov). Keyboard shortcuts could be described better, more visually maybe?

do you mean an option to have them side by side so you dont have to switch between the 2 players?

It's the same world you can render both player models with like 50% transparency. Ranked has something like this
