Strategies for "Mine 3 Types of Ice"

Might not be interesting enough to be its own #resources post, but discussing the new goal is probably a good idea at last

To start, the most consistent ways to get all 3 types quickly are frozen oceans, since Packed Ice icebergs sometimes have Blue Ice near the bottom (https://minecraft.wiki/w/Blue_Ice_(feature)). (Rarely, they are entirely made of blue ice).

Snowy Villages are second-best, since Packed Ice generates as part of houses, one of the Meeting Point types, and in piles (like Hay Bales in Plains villages), and two house types and some piles generate with Blue Ice.

Somewhat obscure ways get different ice types:

- Snowy Village chests can have Blue Ice in them (if one of the two Blue Ice house types didn't generate)
- Frosted Ice is a fourth type from Frost Walker boots
- Some biomes have snowfall past y=120/160/200, which means you can freeze water into normal ice if you're up there
- Packed ice generates at Stray Trial Spawners
- Ancient City iceboxes can generate with all 3 types of ice
- Wandering Trader has a 13% chance to trade for packed ice and 13% chance to trade for blue ice, but there are only 6 in stock

Silk Touch is definitely too rare to rely on but maybe viable on some seeds if there's no cold biomes anywhere? Kinda sucks that it's so hard to get

silk touch gold pick from rp also can only mine 32 blocks, which won’t be enough to craft blue ice if you’re just mining regular ice

even so it's good to know alternatives because the frozen ocean could be really far away or be really small

Interesting to note that if you want to roll enchants, you can get either silk touch or frost walker if you only need blue ice (so if village doesn't have or you only have a frozen peaks/ice spikes)

you can get it from level 17-29 (tier 2) but very rare

the level 3 with 30 xp level you have the biggest chance

But the idea is that if there is only regular ice nearby, you could silk touch it and craft packed/blue

Notably, the Frozen Peaks and Ice Spikes biomes generate a lot of ice and packed ice, but 0 blue ice.
So going for frost walker for frosted ice, or silk touch for blue ice (from RP or Bastion) is particularly important if those are your only ice biomes
