Tryna use gui 3 cause its just so much better now that 50 people have convinced me, but this adds in the issue of f3 menu just covering my ENTIREEE SCREEN. Makes everything unnecessarily difficult

oh wait thats sick
stum!2 months ago
assuming draftout will update which is planned for eventually
Threadfinn2 months ago
That probably does mean it isn't worth spending time implementing since it will happen eventually anyways
awesomeSallad2 months ago
mildly unrelated but why are people using gui 3? /genq
pinkpuff2 months ago
I have bad eyes and cant see tiny text

EliteMaster2 months ago
what do most ppl use?
EliteMaster2 months ago
i thought 3 was pretty common
awesomeSallad2 months ago
I have no idea idk much about what gui scales people use (I use 4 via the logic that smaller = better), just curious
Threadfinn2 months ago
Isn't 4 the biggest?
Threadfinn2 months ago
GUI scale 1
Threadfinn2 months ago
GUI scale 4/auto
Threadfinn2 months ago
Although it's different for different resolutions right? These are at 1080p
Threadfinn2 months ago
I feel like everyone I watch has it at 4, does anyone really use anything smaller? Like how can you see at gui 1 or 2?
EliteMaster2 months ago
yea isnt 4 the biggest? do u mean 1 then?
Threadfinn2 months ago
Especially with the invention of tab-space crafting I don't think there's even a micro advantage to smaller gui anymore, just a macro disadvantage of not being able to see your inventory.
Uniquepotatoes2 months ago
isnt gui scale dependent on your monitor resolution too
Threadfinn2 months ago
It is or at least it used to be, but I think the GUI gets smaller with higher resolution. So like GUI4 at 1440p is the same as GUI3 at 1080p or something.
Threadfinn2 months ago
So I can't even imagine how bad smaller GUI is for higher than 1080p monitors.
Ravalle2 months ago
gui scale just means how many screen pixels a gui pixel is
Threadfinn2 months ago
Yeah that's what I thought it was
Threadfinn2 months ago
So the same GUI scale is a smaller percentage of your screen the higher your resolution is.
Ravalle2 months ago
correct
Threadfinn2 months ago
Anyone have a 4k monitor I want to see what gui 1 looks like?
Uniquepotatoes2 months ago
yea i think i use gui4 on a 1440p monitor
Ravalle2 months ago
I'm not sure what auto does
Uniquepotatoes2 months ago
idk how youd play minecraft on a 4k screen
Ravalle2 months ago
but I think it can go beyond 4
Ravalle2 months ago
painfully
Threadfinn2 months ago
Oh maybe Auto lets it go past 4 for 1440p+ monitors
zyx2 months ago
i use 3 cos various reasons+im used ot it
jes2 months ago
i used to use 2 but migrated to 3 bc my pvp coach said so

stum!2 months ago
i think speedrunners do that since its better for inventory/crafting
piggywiggy3432 months ago
i switched from gui 4 to gui 3 a few days ago and it was the best decision of my life
piggywiggy3432 months ago
everything just feels smoother and faster
piggywiggy3432 months ago(edited)
and f3/pie chart doesn't take up as much of my screen
hiegh2 months ago
i went from 3 to 4, i just like crafting faster

EliteMaster2 months ago
doesnt pie chart like not fit ur screen on gui 4
hiegh2 months ago
It does fine
DriftSythe2 months ago
my piechart covers my render distance so I have to toggle it to see what my rd is when I’m pie charting for structures past like 5 rd
hiegh2 months ago
I thought that was normal
DriftSythe2 months ago
when I play on gui 2 on my monitor it’s not an issue
DriftSythe2 months ago
but like it happens when I’m on gui 4 on my laptop screen
Threadfinn2 months ago
The pie chart fits most of the time, except when on the entities directory with over 20 different entities loaded
Threadfinn2 months ago
Then the list does push it off the screen a bit
