Change Default Sorting for Forums

Discord has a setting to change the default sort order of posts in forums channels, from the most recently active to the most recently posted. This, in my opinion, comes with a few benefits:
- Prevents "bumping" posts in suggestions, as bumping won't put it to the top of the list.
- Makes it easier to tell when new suggestions have been suggested.
- Prevents resources with lots of discussion (eg custom boards) burying other posts in resources.

I just prefer recent activity for promoting discussion it has the unintended effect of allowing bumping but I don’t think that’s too big of a deal

and like custom boards burying other posts is a separate issue imo like custom boards are just not resources that’s the root of the problem

i feel like this but in the opposite direction lol, sorting by activity is good but bumping posts is kinda pointless and shouldn't be a thing

i guess ppl can still sort them either way so i agree that it's not too big of a deal

yea I agree that bumping shouldn’t be a thing but I still prefer sorting by activity overall

yea it’s not the end of the world because you can just choose which one you want if you’re aware of that feature
