Sh4dleOP2 months agoIn the game hitman, there's a game mode where you can customise what targets you have to take out and with what requirements. You can share these custom contracts online and have people try to figure out how to complete it as fast as possible. I think that draft out can replicate this idea very nicely, custom boards already exist. The only thing that would be absolutely needed would be a setting to change the start time so people arent waiting for a minute to play.
I think this idea would benefit from a setting that allows you to complete fewer items on the board, like say only 20/25 on a 5x5 since this would create a lot more different strategies on how to approach the contract since not every runner has to eventually do the exact same thing. It would also be cool to have a dedicated menu that people can post their runs to where players can browse and play different contracts in game.
I like hitman contracts and I like draftout. Why not both!

Is this not just custom boards? People have already been making leaderboards for people's custom boards

yeah i never played hitman so i don't think i understand the concept too well

i think they are asking for sharing boards in game, and being able to choose how many goals are required for the game to end (e.g. 20 goals on a 5x5 board)

being able to share and download boards ingame through some sort of steam workshop-like thing would be sooo cool, maybe even with the ability to apply extra conditions as well such as the amount of goals required as mentioned or have nether/end disabled, forced peaceful mode, etc

it might be better fit for later in the future of draftout's existence but i think it could add a lot more enjoyability to the mod
