Add a Guideline to Only Suggest 1 Goal at a Time

There's a lot of suggestion posts that are a list of 5-20 goals. This has several issues:
1) It makes it hard to find a specific goal suggestion in the future so it leads to a lot of repeat suggestions.
2) It's harder to discuss any of the goals because there's other discussions on the thread. It also makes it harder to tell which suggestions were liked and disliked.
3) Some of the goal suggestions will get ignored because there's too many others there, even if they were good ideas.

I think it's fine to be loose with it too if goals are directly related to eachother

Yeah it's just the lists of random unrelated objectives that are an issue.

I used to not think this would be worth doing bc then people might not suggest stuff or they'd do like 10 at once and it'd be really spammy, but with how things are rn all the big list threads are kinda a mess this would definitely be better

I also think if you were making a separate post for each goal, people would suggest fewer bad goals. I think some people think of a few good ideas so they want to suggest a list, then pad it with extra that even they aren't really too interested in. So I don't think spam would be too much but idk.

I just noticed the "swap hotbar with shelves" suggestion, which has been suggested at least 3 times already but always in a list or in the discussion of a list.

I think people would usually avoid suggesting like 10 goals at once but I think often the big goal lists have a few gems in there

so people might just not put all their ideas out there, which is maybe not for the best, but it's just so much better for discussion and for the upvotes to matter

I'm guilty of doing this too, I think one way of doing multi suggestion posts is to put comments for each suggestion immediately after posting to use for upvoting purposes, and later make a separate thread for the actual successful ideas. And I agree with adding a rule to prevent posts from being too all over the place, so we can point to the rule if ppl make it too ridiculous

should just ask the owner of thread to edit out the good goal and make a new thread

no one is going to make a thread for something that seems mid to them, but might lead some cool variation that does work well (if the guideline gets added)

Why not use #strat-dev for something like that? I agree that it can lead to good ideas, but I just don't think suggestions is really the place.

Strat dev is reserved for things that are actually in the game I think but yeah #general is right there if you wanna coin some ideas
