The table can spawn in villages or can be crafted with 2 paper.
To use it, you need a filled map and a paper or a glass pane or an empty map.
The map can be obtained from shipwrecks (empty or bt map), villages (chests and trading for 7 emeralds) and abandoned camps. It can also be crafted with 8 papers and a compass which could be an alternative on seeds with easy redstone access.
Overall I think this goal has some variety to it, it can be a race on some seeds but it can also be an exploration goal or a redstone goal

I think forcing glass pane is good otherwise most shipwrecks and village cartographers give you everything you need instantly. It's better imo to at least need one extra step
