make a fandom while the website wiki is "under construction"

there's a lot of info spread out from the discord to the website. while the website wiki is being constructed there should be a fandom page so everything can be easily accessible in one place and people can edit the pages to make it an official temporary space.

what would be the point of a fandom wiki? i do think that information like #about-draftout should be mentioned in the official wiki, but i don't see how that could be more than 1 or 2 pages. not anything that warrants a fandom site

plus a public wiki is just too much trouble to moderate for vandalism

The #about-draftout is just a start to what draftout is + is already outdated; it has no mention of the private lobby game modes + quick play board size changed.
The main reason I think a wiki would be good is for a concise list of all the challenges with proper tagging to filter and search for them. right now on the website it's practically just a list you can search.
As for moderation fandom makes it pretty easy to avoid vandalism.

admittedly i haven't ever used fandom to make a site, they're kind of a bad experience for end users, even with an adblock

I 100% agree, that's why I suggested it be temporary while they work on the website.
I suggested it mainly cause my friend who hasn't played much mc is always so lost on what/ how to do certain goals. and one person with a lot of time can easily just make a small description for them.

it's just while the website is under work. ideally, which I'm sure they know, it'll be all on the website.

like you can still get fandom wiki for minecraft wiki in 1st search for some pages, after that long period of making official wiki for minecraft

if "somebody" random makes it then yeah it's a hassle but that's why it's in 'suggestions' for someone on the team to make it so it can easily be deleted

they do ive literally done it before. u just need to submit a request.

i'm curious, for what project you made and deleted a wiki? how big it was? how many users it got monthly?

it was for a niche programming language called zig, at the time their website didn't have much documentation so I thought I'd make a fandom for it with some information I had and we could share as a community. but once the docs became clean and nice I deleted it. it was like 50-60 monthly users at peak, nothing too crazy.
