world slightly different after disconnect

was playing blackout in a private lobby w/ 3 friends and had a disconnect. world + inventory reset, but i think that's intended behavior for blackout? seed was the same in almost every respect, but the first world had a lava pool at spawn, while the second didn't. happened two days ago, on 1.12.1.
