ThreadfinnOP2 months agoIn case of future outages it's probably a good idea to put that info somewhere. No need to ping anyone and it can be deleted once everything is working again.

There's already posts for scheduled maintenances. it makes sense to post unscheduled outages too so people aren't confused. This time it's been down the entire day and people still keep asking, because there's no other way to know.

Exist for this reason also the website frontend should be hosted on cloudflare pages with the navbar area having a backend health check periodically that way if it fails a red banner or popup can appear.
