there are a few iron advancements that can be good if you get tons of iron from shipwrecks:
- ingot: acquire hardware
- iron pickaxe: isn't it iron pick
- bucket: hot stuff + tactical fishing
- iron boots: suit up
- smithing table: crafting a new look
- shield: not today, thank you (at night, or skeleton in a cave, or shoot an arrow yourself)

here's all the advancements you can basically always force pre-iron:
1. Minecraft (obtain crafting table)
2. Stone Age (obtain cobblestone)
3. Getting an Upgrade (obtain stone pickaxe)
4. A Seedy Place (plant seeds, e.g. wheat seeds)
5. The Parrots and the Bats (breed mobs, e.g. chickens with wheat seeds)
6. Mob Kabob (spear 5 mobs, e.g. chickens + baby)
7. Adventure (kill a mob, e.g. chicken)
8. Husbandry (eat anything, e.g. raw chicken)

But the actual fastest I think is possible is you spawn in a taiga village next to a blacksmith and a house with chest.

Blacksmith directly gives:
1) Acquire Hardware
2) Suit up
3) Isn't it Iron Pick
4) Ice Bucket Challenge
5) Diamonds

Quickly can mine 3 stone with that iron pick for:
6) Stone Age

Taiga village house has emeralds and logs in chest and preplaced crafting table. Quickly craft stone pick and iron axe then break crafting table for:
7) Getting an Upgrade
8) Minecraft

Trade with villager and plant a seed for:
9) What a Deal
10) A Seedy Place

edit: probably faster to die to golem instead of mining 3 stone and making stone pick. Saves 1 second on mining + whatever crafting time, death is instant with good rng on hard mode

I think it's possible to get over 40 advancements with 1 arrow in singleplayer survival. Although realistically impossible without TAS. Really it's like 15 if you don't want a complex redstone setup.

Ok so the key to most of these is that the setup needs to be above an end portal that you've already lit asd thrown a bunch of items through. You'll get pushed through and pick them all up. This gives 19:
SI, WiCO, HitD, HS, IiIP, M, GaU, SA, IBC, D, SD, CmiD1, IF, WoPC, CmiD2, Su, AH, plus The End? and The End.

Need a piercing IV crossbow. The arrow itself kills a pillager, skeleton, and either 3 other mobs or 2 phantoms. The pillager must be the last mob in a raid, and have picked up a banner. The skeleton must be at least 50 blocks away from the player. While in flight the arrow deflects a wind charge and a fireball in the exact correct directions to kill the senders. This part gives 11 Advancements:
Adventure, TA, OB, WtPN, VE, MH, A/TBOA, SD, HoV, RtS, B, UA

The Arrow must somehow come to rest perfectly in the center of a target block after all this. This Gives 1 Advancement: Bullseye, and triggers the redstone circuit.

A piston needs to push a block to complete the top layer of a full beacon base for Bring home the beacon and beaconator. Another piston needs to push a wither skeleton skull onto a frame to summon a wither for withering heights. The player (wearing leather boots) gets pushed into a honey block they slide down for sticky situation, falling onto a powder snow block for light as a rabbit. Another piston retracts to allow a trident that was thrown earlier to fall onto a villager for a throwaway joke and very very frightening. The powder snow is then broken and the player falls to their death for postmortal. The block is then retracted and the player falls through the end portal for eye spy, the end, and the end?

But yes you can. It has to be a pillager that spawned in the last wave of the raid, then picked up a banner. But picking up a banner does make it count as a captain. I've seen some raid farm designs that use this, they drop the banners back into the system so you get extra bottles.

I noticed they weren't insane enough to try and get bullseye, blowback, or return to sender. And I think they just forgot about throwaway joke and very very frightening. So maybe it's 63 possible with TAS and getting it setup by a different account.

After thinking about this, if you allow holding right-click the whole time, you can get over 100 advancements from a single input by using a lot of dispensers with consumable items or tools with 1 durability.

First time you eat, you unlock an achievement branch of husbandry i think. It doesn't alert it in chat but it counts as an achievement.
tdlr eating = achievement
