again, with obtain 4 torches and soul lantern both being in the game I don't see much of a difference outside of redstone being somewhat difficult to find

I don’t know why the message was deleted, I had been wondering about this. If you broadly interpreted “chests” it might be a bit wider:
* Chest
* Copper Chest
* Ender Chest
* Trapped Chest
* Boat with Chest (any wood type counted as 1)
* Minecart with Chest
Idk exactly how the goal balancing would pan out, but it definitely offers overlap options
