Server lag at the starts of matches?

is it just like the servers lagging, does it happen to my opponent too? Thought it's single player worlds that are connected to the servers network or something like that, so idk how's this happening. Haven't seen happen to anyone else yet

scrolled a bit in the bug report channel and didn't see anyone report it yet

not an expert but i don't think this could have anything to do with the server (that doesn't actually serve the world) so my guess would be that it's client lag while chunks are being generated and it would be fixed by turning down the render distance

vouch, i specifically tend to get lag while like mining the first log at the start of the match, and it's perfectly fine afterwards

despite being on 32rd while drafting which is surely enough time to gen chunks

You get way less lag when loading chunks during the draft because the ticks are frozen, it's understandable you'd get lag when the game starts, the game loads in every entity at once
