i think this is a misunderstanding, x-ray texture packs are what gets you banned and give a massive advantage on a typical smp for resource gathering, the x-ray type tricks with f3+a and whatnot arent game breaking and ive never seen anyone have issues aginst it besides speedrun rules

I have an actual pc (albeit with low-end parts) and by the time drafting starts I have maybe 16 chunks rendered, and it’s so slow. Makes scouting so hard

8-12 render distance is prolly too low, but not seeing a village at the start cause of only render distance 16 instead of 24 is kinda whack and punishing low end pcs

and regarding f3 a. yes the c counter exists but its faster with f3 a cause you exactly see the hitboxes of the mobs and therefore can just dig to them
view bobbing f5 has more of a use in the nether (i think) to mine out of bad nether enters and find bastion / fortress
