One of the goals is "Die by falling into the void". The most straightforward way to do it is by going to the End, but you can actually do it in any dimension if you break bottom bedrock.

Breaking bottom bedrock is nontrivial because the terrain there is not flat, so basic setups don't work. Instead, you have to improvise a setup on the fly.

I think allowing breaking bedrock makes the goal better, because now there are more ways to achieve it. It's still a difficult goal, since you need knowledge of how the trick works to be able to come up with a setup, and you still need some mid/late-game resources (tnt, pistons, redstone), and it is still a time investment (digging down, finding a suitable spot, coming up with a setup).

allowing this gives the goal more overlaps which was directly stated to be a priority with designing the goals

i think either you should be allowed to break bedrock so you have an alternative way to do that goal, or that goal should be removed because it is not meaningfully different from entering the end

i've seen someone do the same with a minecart and i couldn't reproduce it on 26.1.1 in a few minutes of trying

this is a fairly well known glitch, it was patched in 1.21.2 along with boat clipping through walls

I just tried going for this in a real game and it's actually quite difficult. I lost to a guy who went to the End because I messed up my setup 3 times and had to go get more TNT.

In Survival, with a diamond pick, it took me about a minute to go from reaching bedrock to finding a suitable spot and breaking it. My new setup is even cheaper.

it probably makes more sense to do this in the nether btw since netherack is faster to break than deepslate, and you can reach nether floor faster

just in case it isn't clear, breaking bedrock is currently not allowed, so do not do it in matches
