Removing the crafting book will add another layer of knowledge and skill to the game, that is manual crafting and knowledge of the recipe.

Could also be a feature to turn on / off in future private rooms or something.

I think maybe as a toggle-able private feature, but definitely not in the regular game modes. The book is built into the game and there’s skill in learning fast ways to search recipes or memorizing other languages to speed that up even more. -player who sucks at crafting

it is part of the game, and should be kept, I don't get what the point is here, no one uses the book to know the recipes anyway, and you can check the wiki at anytime.

Eh I do sometimes. Like there’s some items you know the ingredients but not the actual configuration. Also some recipes don’t show up in the table even when you have everything

Search crafting is already a popular easy way of crafting and as @Peti and @Ciel stated people will just look it up
