sekrisOP5 days agoadd an option to request a game pause, since games tend to be on the longer side (sometimes going over an hour).
works similar to draw vote (one player requests and the other gets the option of accepting or declining)
alternatively, each player has a 30s-60s pause to use at any time, with a 5s countdown before the pause, to prevent tactical pauses.

I like this. I’ve had many games where I really need to go to the bathroom or get water or something. It could be like 5 minutes (or maybe the players choose the length?) and could be resumed early if both players agree.

I think a pause for 45-60 seconds sounds good then when timer hit anyone can unpause reminds me of deadlock and they do it if theyre teamate disconnects like they pause or to like take a strategy break or streching this would make like a friendlyness not bringing ego or toxicity

Maybe have both a short pause of 1 minute or less that either player can use once per game at any time, and also a longer ~5 minute pause that both players would have to agree to, and could also resume early by agreement.

imo as long as both players accept rather than just having a force pause this would be fine

Deadlock pause is perfect imo, both players get 1 infninite pause per game, but the opponent can unpause after ~a minute if they want
