its literally their first game, but losing makes you lose 40+ elo
like clearly theyre a higher rank than me so why am i losing so much???

also ive noticed sometimes you get 10-12 elo and other times its way more

I think they have a hidden elo around 1,000 when starting out. I hover around gold I rank, and usually get +40 for a win.

hmmm yeah, maybe the 10-12 elo ones were players that lost a match but still unrated

40 is a lot tho for unranked, i swear typical players around my rank give like 20-30 elo
