Particularly when viewing a profile & match, but also the whole site has a bit of lag on Firefox

id imagine its pretty client intensive bc the site is jam packed with stuff, youre prob just running out of memory. could be better to go to #suggestions and suggest that they add a toggle to remove animations / anything intensive

its barely using anything

but yea its usually these super JS animation heavy websites that lag like this

huh, i thought the lag was normal but it is super smooth on chrome while it lags on brave

its been fine for me on firefox

the leaderboard is rough for me on firefox too but I've also had issues with websites like gartic phone
I think this might be a pretty annoying issue to solve, I've heard annoying things about developing with firefox in mind but just opening chrome for the site works fine (and with the lag pretty much everything is bearable aside from the leaderboard)

it's hardware accel

there's some expensive blurs that I'll remove

ideally you switch it on in browser settings, but since there's no good way to detect GPU vs software, ill just remove

it should be a lot better, but profile animation, opening a match will still be slightly laggy but usable

yea this is one approach, i can 'profile' animations in a way, and provide a way to turn them off or suggest to turn on hardware acceleration
