Optimization on Mac

I don't know how it is for other Mac players, but the base mods are not enough to have good FPS and performance (currently i get 15-20 FPS). There is a mod called Sodium Extra that allows a proper resolution to be set that leads to drastically improved performance that I usually use for instances. I understand this mod itself is probably not gonna be allowed (it has many features to disable/enable animations, particles, fog, coords, etc.) but I just want an option available that gives me similar performance. BorderlessWindow already exists as a legal mod to hide the menu bar, so why not a similar mod to tweak the resolution for MacBooks (if Sodium Extra itself isn't allowed then some alternative would be nice)

A Sodium addon that adds features that shouldn't be in Sodium.

retino is in the work

alternatively you can use lodpi screen (which works better than retino and is recommended for tahoe)

The pie chart appears small when the game uses 4k scaling, this is because the pie chart is not affected by gui scale, it renders at a fixed size.
To get around this you have 3 options of varying effort:
1. Get the retiNO mod, which disables 4k scaling for the game, but this lowers the maximum height you can use for boateye, so it negatively affects accuracy (you'll get 100% less often)
2. Set your display to a LoDPI resolution instead of HiDPI: read through this document on how to do that (this is also more performant than using retiNO mod.)
3. Use the Pie Projector in SlackowWall
If you're just checking for the existance of the spawner and don't need to read the numbers, you can also choose to deal with it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ .
