yea pattern is probably a better idea for more variety / forcing end game goals instead of just early game goals

I think a mode where the wincon is a line/row/diagonal at first and, if all are blocked, first to 13 would be really fun

Cause a lot of goals are pretty far out of the way of a good line and it might not be very fun to stretch yourself super thin to a far away or RNG goal just to try and block your opponent

if you manage to force an opponent to have to block your line with a really far goal you're free to shoot for either 'another line or 13

also line wins over 13 goals, if you get 13 but the opponent has a line open still, you dont' win until you block it

if it can go to 13 and still you cant win because you dont have a line, it can go far longer than a normal competetive game

I mean if you’re not forced to block lines to win by majority there’s no point in the lines or the strategy to force blocks

The slowest it could possibly be is a 12-13 score, which is true rn. If a line wins it’s a shorter game. So it would be as fast as right now and sometimes faster

but you'll likely be forced to play the board differently to block certain goals which will usually lead to a longer game

i woud absolutely love a bingo gamemode, but if it's still drafted they should probably change the drafting method. the current format would bias the game in favor of the first player to draft, as they would decide ALL of the goals to go on both diagonals (as opposed to horizontal and vertical lines which would be created by both players)

Like the center square, sitting on 4 lines, is pivotal for bingos. Instead of being drafted, it is automatically picked by the game on draft start. This balances number of drafts between players
